Paul Bugler BBus (Ops Mgmnt), Dip. Law, CPA

Paul has worked in the transport industry for over 30 years, in operational and management roles.  He has held numerous management positions at both a business unit and corporate level with three major Australian transport firms.  Paul has also worked for the well respected consulting firms, Travers Morgan and Sinclair Knight Merz.  In 2009 he formed Lacertus Verum.

In recent years, Paul has taken a leading role in rail infrastructure access regulation and has also led a number of high value bids to win business in new markets against strongly entrenched incumbents.  More recently Paul has been involved in successful projects leading to the winning of billion dollar contracts both in Australia and overseas.

In addition, Paul has conducted negotiations for a number of high value contracts both as customer and as supplier.  In particular, Paul is experienced in the complex task of negotiating with track owners for access to rail infrastructure.

Diploma of Law, Legal Profession Admissions Board NSW (2008)

Member, CPA Australia

Paul is a qualified accountant and most recently has completed training in the law.  These formal qualifications, added to his extensive practical experience in the business of transport means that Paul is able to offer clients a very broad understanding of the requirements to operate a transport business, from policy through commercial to operations.
